We happily played on the Classical Cactus series at the Cactus Cafe in Austin! We were honored to join the creative mastermind Tom Echols on stage for a fully collaborative evening ranging from guitar and strings to analogue synthesizer and vocals. It was a cactus people will not soon forget!

We were lucky enough to be play on the Classical Chamber Concert Series this season at the Georgetown Public Library! We showed off our string quartet chops with a program anchored by Alberto Ginastera's String Quartet No. 1 and Peter Schickele's First String Quartet. 

November 11th & 13th, 2016

We played a show with pianist, Faith DeBow on the great Austin based concert series, Beerthoven! The title of this program was aptly named "Raisin' Brahms," and featured Brahms' Piano Quintet along with Peter Schickele's rollicking Piano Quintet No. 2. We had an amazing time sharing our music over pretzels and beers. Prost!

We done played a show on the Millennium Stage at the Kennedy Center in D.C. It was our last show in the D.C. area and we had a blast doing it! Thanks Betty Scott for setting this up, we wouldn't be who we are without your help

June 18th - July 3rd, 2016

invoke participated in the St. Lawrence String Quartet's week long workshop with a bunch of great groups from around the country and world. We also had the pleasure of staying an extra week to help out teaching at the Standford Pre-Collegiate Studies Arts and Humanities program. We had a blast working with the students on writing their own compositions for a mixed chamber group.


June 14th, 2016

We headed back to D.C. to play an awesome house concert with Nate West on Bass. We also had the great pleasure of having the Hungarian group, Melodika Project, open the concert for us. 

June 5th - 12th, 2016

We participated in the Savvy Musician in ACTION immersive workshop for musicians where we also competed in the chamber music competition as finalists and won. Woohoo! Congrats to the other epic groups whom we shared the stage with at the Tapp's Art Center that Wednesday night! It was great to be back in Columbia, SC.

May 14th - 17th, 2016

invoke had a grand time touring around Florida as a part of the South Florida Symphony's Summer Chamber Series. We had a blast hitting up the streets of Ft. Lauderdale, the beaches of Key West and the picturesque beauty of Little Palm Island. Thanks South Florida Symphony for making this such a trip!

We headed south to DC for the second release show of Marian McLaughlin's stellar new album "Spirit House". People came out to Capital Fringe for some original folky-orchestra music written by Marian and arranged by Ethan Foote!

We played with Army Band "Pershing's Own" pianist, Dan Roberts at the Strathmore Mansion as part of the Strathmore Artist in Residence mentor concert series!

We performed a host of orginal works in our NYC debut at The Phoenix Concerts! We were excited to crack into the NYC egg!

invoke premiered Geoff Sheil's new work for string quartet, piano and percussion on his doctoral composition recital in Gildenhorn Recital Hall at the University of Maryland. Composition and chamber music workshop with invoke as part of the MHCA Guest Artist Workshop Series sponsored byAnnapolis Young Artist Program. We discussed our composition and rehearsal process and got the kids involved for some fun improvisation!

We performed at the NextNow Fest at The Clarice's Gildenhorn Recital Hall! we played some brand new originals as well as the world premiere of New York composer Joe Philips' piece "Shibboleths" for string quartet.

We played at The Baltimore Creative Alliance with the awesome Marian McLaughlin who was celebrating the release of her new album "Spirit House"! We played some clutch orchestral parts arranged by the prolific Ethan Foote. It was a great show!

invoke played Beethvoven's timeless String Quartet Opus 131 in concert at Interlochen Center for the Arts at Dendrinos Chapel as well as "Shadow," a brand new string quartet by University of Maryland composer Bryce Fuhrman!

"1865 Across the Pond" at the Dunlop Pavillion. Peopled heard a new original work inspired by classic CIvil War songs as well as Wintergreen faculy performing Brahms' amazing second sextet!
